the older you get the more conscious you need to be about kids in fandom spaces…. things is different now. might have been “okay” to talk about smutty shit with adults back when you was a kid on livejournal in 2001 but its 2017 now and u need to be the mature, actual adult that understands boundaries. dont continue a chain of adults exposing children to sexual content just because its “okay” in fandom spaces… wish i knew how to speak english on a basic fucking level to get this poitn across lol

people consider it “okay” in fandom spaces to be sexual with/around minors because it happened to them when they were a kid, and thats what i mean by continuing the chain. if you keep up this trend of exposing minors to sexual things because it happened to you, theres a large chance that minor will grow up to do the same to another minor, who does the same to another minor, etc and no matter how you try to justify this to yourself, its incredibly weird for someone in their 20s to be discussing even fictional characters touching each others pussies with someone under 18, or in some cases even under 15. its weird. it is extremely weird. just because its fictional doesnt make it any less weird.
you might not like it, but growing up and being an adult brings a lot of responsibility on to you. you might not “feel” like an adult, but you are literally an adult. you can make all the jokes you like, but youre a grown up, youre an adult, you need to monitor your own interactions with children for their safety and comfort. if a child comes to you wanting sexual discussion, you reject them, and if youre feeling helpful about it, suggest they keep discussions of such things to people their own age for their own safety. maybe youre not a predator, but other adults might be.
it doesnt matter how “mature” the kid is, or if the kid came to you first to discuss this, because the bottom line is youre an adult exposing minors to adult content which, even if you can find a law to justify it, is morally repugnant. youre not doing them any favours, youre not being a cool adult, youre being massively inappropriate.
kids, teens, please keep safe online. i know its super fun and its easy to get personal with people, but your parents werent lying when they told you about paedophiles and predators. just because someone is friendly and cool and popular in fandom doesnt mean theyre not a predator.
