I can see at least 39… I’m counting more but it says there are only 39 so I’m probably counting wrong. Anyway I see 39 and yellow is my favorite color. WHAT NOW?

See, and here’s the thing. I’m a 30 year old. Super Mario 64 was an amazing game and a breakthrough for tons of snes gamers who all gasped collectively to see Mario move in a 3D environment… but when you get down to it, it’s a puzzle game about rescuing a princess from Bowser and collecting stars.
Undertale has had a profound effect on my life, however. The morals in the game are all about love and choice and you don’t have to hurt anyone to advance and the game makes it perfectly clear that you are not being rewarded when you choose to cause harm to the monsters in the game.
It’s breathtaking and, for that reason, I believe Undertale deserves to go all the way to the top.
It’s been a very, very long time since a video game has made me feel what Undertale has. A very, very long time.

No one is saying that. Mario 64 was absolutely a gateway game, but that isn’t what the vote is about .Standing on its own, Mario 64′s story is about collecting stars to get to Bowser to stop him so you can rescue Peace. Mario games have consistently been about getting to stop Bowser! It’s fun! That’s what we expect!
Undertale is a vastly different game, however, that has a had a profound and lasting impact on the lives of many people, myself included.
So, while Mario 64 may be a fantastic game, Undertale is still getting my vote. I owe it far more for enchanting me in my 30s than games used to do so easily for me when I was young. Games just don’t do for me now what Undertale does.
