– eyeballs are an eyeball width apart – ears align with the top of your brows to the bottom of your nose, and are the center-point of a profile view – lip corners line up to the center of each eye – hands are roughly the size of your face – feet are the same size as your forearm – elbows are aligned with your belly-button – your hands reach down mid-length of your thighs – both upper and lower legs (individually) are roughly the same size as your torso (this is all rough estimates for proportion! feel free to add more to help others)
YOU ARE A FUCKING SAINT
– the length of your legs + feet is about the same as the length of your torso + everything above it
BUT!!!! THATS NOT THE ONLY SHAPES YOU CAN USE FOR BODY TYPES!! You can basically use any and ALL shapes, try this our to create more diverse body types! Just make em’ bigger or smaller if you want the character t be bigger or smaller!
So, I made a reference sheet of Frisk that was ripped off inspired from @nochocolate‘s Chara reference sheet. I hope they’re alright with me using their format/layout.
The drawings/sepia sprites used were all created by Temmie Chang, so I consider hem to be reliable sources for Frisk’s design.
NOTES
Frisk has medium-length hair that stops just above their shoulder.
While not present in the overworld sprites or figurine, Temmie has often illustrated Frisk with side-swept bangs.
They wear a crew neck shirt with long sleeves.
In some of the artwork, a black ring (possibly an undershirt?) can be seen near/under their shirt collar.
In most cases, the two stripes on their shirt only goes around the torso, not the arms. However, in the sprite of them hugging Asriel, stripes on their arms can be seen, but this has been their only appearance.
In some of the artwork, a dark ring (possibly an undershirt?) can be seen near/over their shirt collar.
Their cheeks are not as round as Chara’s.
Frisk’s bottom wear is very inconsistent. Based on the overworld sprites, it consists of shorts/pants with shoes/boots/leggings(?). The figurine has shorts and dark leggings, while some of Temmie’s art shows the same as the figurine, but sometimes gives them long pants with dark shoes as well.
They are presumably the same height as Chara.
Frisk’s hair and shoes/boots/leggings are the same color.
The blue on their shirt and the color of their shorts are the same shade of blue.
Frisk’s eye color is unknown, however some theorize that it is red. When Chara possesses them in the soulless pacifist ending, their eyes turn red when opened, despite that Chara’s eyes have not been red in any other appearance.
I made a walkthrough of my process for drawing faceted stones! Judging by the timestamps from the screenshots I took, drawing this one stone took an hour and three minutes, although I know I went and checked tumblr a couple times while I was working, so let’s just call it an hour.
Now MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
This walkthrough assumes you already know how to use layer masks, the clone stamp, and the lasso tool. There’s also one part where I didn’t label it, but I inverted the selection so I could keep my lines consistent. It’s in the third image.
Unfortunately I can’t really help with colour choice and the actual colouring of the pinwheel shape that makes up the back facets, but you can kind of see that I tended to colour with lines that cut across the facets and and kept the outer parts of the facets darker. It would probably be best to find a reference to work from!
This particular cut of stone is called the ‘brilliant’ cut.
There’s actually a lot of internal reflection business that goes on in a stone, but I elected to ingore all of it since at a distance you can’t really tell anyway.
