So many words to say and so many words unspoken. Woke up to some sad news that our good friend Kip passed away to a long battle with cancer. All I can say is that Kip was such a sweet and a beautiful soul,They wanted to attend Playlist so we could finally meet but we never got that chance but we had great conversations through Instagram and tumblr and she blessed me and Thomas with so many breathtaking artworks. My heart is so heavy… I’m so glad to have met a strong and beautiful soul. Thank you Kip for being you and never letting no one change that and for blessing the world with your gift. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you will FOREVER be apart of my life and Thomas’s. Rest easy Baby.
My friend has notified me that Gumball’s ratings are low whenever the episodes are posted online before it gets aired on TV.
Personally, I like to watch them before I watch them on TV. But if you have Cartoon Network on your TV, and able to watch it, please watch it when it airs. That will help with Gumball’s ratings.
I’ve been checking Gumball’s ratings and whenever an episode has been posted on Youtube or Dailymotion before it airs, Gumball ends up in the top 50s (on the list of cartoons for each network when they air) but when the episode wasn’t aired online, for example The Fury, it’s in the top 10, with way more viewers.
The problem with this is if a cartoon gets low ratings, it gets cancelled.
So please try to watch it on TV instead, or if you can watch it online and then on the TV, otherwise it affects the show. Many blogs, including mine, that post spoilers tag our spoilers, so if it’s temping, blacklist them and you won’t see them. Thank you.
I don’t know if this has made it’s way on tumblr yet, but after searching something on here, I went back to my dashboard and a site like this was redirected to me:
Do NOT, under any circumstance,OPEN THE FILE WHEN IT WAS DOWNLOADED!
The website itself in the URL bar looks fishy enough as it is, I was lucky enough to delete the file and then check the internet to see of this was real, and multiple sites can confirm this is a virus!!!
Do NOT OPEN IT PLEASE, IT IS A VIRUS!!!
Instead, go to your downloads folder and delete it!!!! Then, until this has cleared up, PLEASE go to your Google Chrome settings, go to advanced settings, and check “Ask Where to Save Each File Before Downloading” so that this doesn’t happen again!!!
Please, please, PLEASE signal boost so no one gets a yucky virus on their computer!!!!
A tool that I’ve found is really handy is a called the Cash Clock. It’s a simple program that measures both the time that you’re working on a piece as well as how much money you should be earning. You can adjust the hourly wage to whatever you feel is right. Simply start the clock whenever you begin working on a project right up until you’re finished. It can give you a clear indication of what you should charge for commissions.
No artist should make below minimum wage for their artwork.
14-year-old Jesse Romero was shot and killed by a LA police officer Tuesday, August 9.
Romero was suspected of writing gang-style graffiti in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles.
The boy was fatally shot while attempting to flee the scene. Romero allegedly had a gun, witnesses say he threw it away before he started running.
Before you come up with the “He deserved to die – he had a gun and tried to run away” bullcrap, ask yourself what you would do if you were a 14 year old teen of color and the police were after you. Ask yourself if it’s fair that communities of color live in poverty. Ask yourself if you’d say “he deserved it” if it were your white 14-year-old son.
Teresa
Domínguez, Jesse’s mother, is mourning her dead child: “I can’t believe he’s dead…I can’t believe it. I feel like he’s going to come back, but I have to accept the truth.”
if an older kid (16+) asks you out, say no and cut off communication immediately. if they continue to ask you out or try to threaten you into dating them, tell an adult. dont let the situation advance in their favor.
stay safe
Yes, they will say “but you’re just so mature for your age”. Yes, they will say how you don’t come off as a child.
Here’s to all my boys with love handles, stretch marks, ribs that show, who feel they are too big or too small, who feel “unmanly,” who have cellulite, who can’t grow facial hair, who can’t seem to gain weight or lose it, who feel “too short” or wish they looked like a male model. Y’all matter. Love you. 💕
Because if you like a character (a FICTIONAL character mind you) you automatically condone their actions.
Let’s say your favorite villain of all time is say… the Joker for instance. If you share this on Tumblr, the chances are someone is going to swoop down on you and ‘casually remind you’ that the Joker is a psychotic murderer and a manipulative abuser towards Harley Quinn and you should be ashamed if you like him.
You’re not allowed to enjoy a villain being a villain anymore… everything has to go back to politics and how if you like them, you support their actions. Steven Universe ESPECIALLY falls under this. NO ONE is allowed to like Jasper or even entertain the notion of her being redeemed without someone coming over to rain on your parade and drill it in that she’s ‘an abuser’ and ‘how dare you support literal trash, I can’t believe you’re in favor of her actions’
What blows my mind about this anti-villain mindset is that three years ago EVERY SINGLE PERSON on this site was bending over backwards and making incredible leaps and stretches to justify the actions of Loki and paint him as a misunderstood woobie. The wobbie who stole the throne twice, tried to kill his brother, invaded Earth and caused a lot of deaths, and so on
I don’t understand how he is different from any other villain (Actually I do, he’s played by Tom Hiddleston and for awhile everyone had a crush on him)
It’s not just Loki either, I also remember back in 2014 there was a WHOLE FANDOM dedicated to Randall from Monsters Inc.
Randall, the kidnapper who tried to strap a child into a torture device to suck the scream out of her… EVERYONE was painting him as misunderstood and bullied because Monsters University was coming out. When the movie came out, we learn that he was ALWAYS sort of petty and his grudge against Sullivan started over a minor accident
Oh let’s not forget Pitch from Rise of the Guardians! Everyone was all over him too!
At some point after specifically 2014 we went from loving villains to HATING them. A good villain makes you hate them granted, I’ll give you that. But now we HATE the people who LIKE them!
We went from wanting to redeem every villain to immediately wanting to burn every single villain at the stake and anyone who likes them. What caused the change? What flipped? It’s a mystery that baffles me.. and it’s something I really hate
Why should we hate the people who like villains? It’s not fair at all. Let people like what they like, there are bigger problems in the world than someone liking someone or something you don’t like
