corduroy-jackalope:

The brain is an organ. Mental illnesses are illnesses of that organ. Brain scans show that there is a physical difference between a healthy brain and a sick brain. Telling someone “You’re not really sick. It’s all in your head.” is like telling someone with asthma “It’s not real, it’s all in your lungs.” The brain is an organ that can malfunction as much as any other organ.

We all matter

Hey loves! I hope you are having a beautiful day.

I know, I know, this pictures seem off from topic since I always post beauty tips and tricks for you all. Before starting I want to say that I’m still posting makeup and beauty advice. However, I really wanted to share this content with my followers because a lot of young girls and females follow us. I believe that there are a lot of controversial topics out there that should be spoken out loud but most people feel ashamed and scared about opening to others or show their truly feelings.

With no more to say, I do believe that art is the best way to express what’s going on and the problems in our society.

I hope you enjoyed this pictures as much I do, if you like this pictures let me know so I can post more of this.

Love you all, Valeria.

UNARMED BLACK MAN FATALLY SHOT BY VOLUNTEER COP

Eric Harris, who was unarmed, died an hour later after what Tulsa, Oklahoma police officials called a “mistake.” According to several news sources, On April 2nd, the victim had reportedly tried to sell a gun to undercover cops and fled on foot as they attempted to arrest him. A video camera captured him, wearing dark shorts and a t-shirt, running up a sidewalk. Harris was quickly caught and subdued. That’s when a 73-year-old volunteer patrolman, Robert Bates, “allegedly” reached for his Taser, but grabbed “accidentally” grabbed his gun instead. According to Tulsa World, Bates, who has donated thousands of dollars worth of items to the Sheriff’s Office since becoming a reserve deputy in 2008, is a Tulsa insurance company executive. He was working undercover as a member of the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Task Force. The World reported that “Bates is classified as an ‘advanced reserve,’ which means he ‘can do anything a full-time deputy can do.’”

Rather than immediately render aid, the officers held Harris down by his neck as a deputy screamed, “Fuck You! You shouldn’t have f*cking ran!”

As Eric Harris lay mortally wounded, face down on the pavement, he begged for his life. “He shot me!” Harris shouted. “He shot me, man. Oh, my god. I’m losing my breath.”

“F*ck your breath!” the officer yelled.

Capt. Billy McKelvey said the officers were not aware the suspect had been shot, despite the unmistakable sound of the gunshot noise. Bates “made an inadvertent mistake,” he said.

The New York Daily News reported that no further investigation is planned, unless requested by the sheriff’s office.

Be Kind To Each Other

therealjacksepticeye:

Now is an even greater time to be kind to each other. We never know who is suffering or what someone is dealing with, always be mindful of others. Reach out to people and help them or ask for help if you need it. We are all in this together and I don’t want anyone to be suffering alone. If I can distract just one person from their pain or make them smile when nothing else can than I will consider what I’m doing a success. I love you all and you have helped me far more than I could ever put into words. Thank you!

Something horrible just happened

afatblackfairy:

afatblackfairy:

My brother went up to the bank to get our rent money out of the bank and some asshole fucking mugged him with a gun in fucking broad daylight right near the damn bank. He just called my mom, freaking out and me and her are freaking out.

We’re glad he’s okay but that was our fucking rent money, all goddamn 800$ of it. And I dont know what the fuck we’re gonna do. My mom is so upset right now.

My mom asked if I can go on here and ask everyone to donate to my paypal. I might start up a gofundme again.

Can you all please boost, reblog and possibly send money to my paypal? Fucking please. My brother literally just stormed into the house and ran into my moms arms and started sobbing over and over again “I thought I was going to die.” My older brother, tall, muscular and with all his anger issues is reduced to goddamn tears right now because of some punk ass and his girlfriend (my brother said the guy was with a woman) pulled a gun out on him and robbed him.

Its just so fucked up and its so fucking unfair. Why rob people who actually need the money? Why rob from the poor? Its sickening.

Just can you guys please donate? Reblog, boost, anything you contribute will be helpul. Just please.

My paypal is: L.Daniels101@hotmail.com and I’ll update with the gofundme

We have 702$ collectively with both paypal and giveforward. Our rent is still due soon and we still need more donations. We’re 98$ away from our goal. Whatever you can donate will be a really big help pls and thank you

Reblogs also help! ❤

Don’t fight about money in front of your kids.

They will feel guilty like it’s their fault and not ask for necessities when they run out.

Don’t fucking do it.

Don’t use money AGAINST your kids either. Don’t EVER tell them money is tight when it’s not, and they KNOW it’s not. That’s another way for them to not trust you or to feel guilty when asking for anything.

Also don’t use money as a guilt tactic for them not doing something or not agreeing with you.

“I buy your food and your clothes and this and that and this is how you repay me?”

They didn’t ask to be born, you made the choice to have a child and take care of them as a responsible parent. Don’t throw that guilt on them and make them feel like shit over what they couldn’t control.

Having Ehlers Danlos Syndrome sometimes feels about the equivalent of being composed of jello and wet spaghetti. Nothing stays where its supposed to. Literally every single cell in the body is floppy, so fingers are definitely an issue for many of us. I can almost guarantee that for the majority of us, writing is not only slow and painful but nearly impossible at times. FIne motor skills? What even are those? An EDSer surely doesn’t have any of those. Even typing which is far easier than writing, is painful and daunting at times. But last year I joined the population of shiny zebras by getting fitted for a set of Silver Rings Splints and they are beyond magical.

For those of you who have not heard of The Silver Ring Splint Company, they are a company that custom makes finger splints that look like elegant pieces of jewelry. Don’t believe me? Well I can’t even tell you how many compliments I’ve received for them. Nobody even suspects that they might possibly be medical. But more importantly, they work amazing! I still have hand pain and finger dislocations when performing fine motor skills and writing is definitely not something I look forward to but I have saved myself thousands of painful dislocations, I can open doors easier, type faster, write longer and hold objects in my hands without looking like an alien from a sic-fi movie. With the rings on my fingers actually look like fingers rather than tentacles!

The company is also family owned and the people are so sweet and helpful!

If you are having trouble with hand pain, clumsiness and dislocations please check out this amazing company!

http://www.silverringsplint.com

I’m literally crying right now. I will be able to use my hands!!! As it stands I can’t do dishes, hold things, write, hold books, type, without pain or dislocation. Oh my gosh. This is a miracle.

@peaceypanic

those are gorgeous and that is amazing how well they’re working! signal boost!

I love these things. I use one for my thumb because due to arthritis I have very little strength/support in the joint and therefore often can’t do anything. My splint makes it possible for me to do my job, do the shit i need to do and not have as bad of pain.

these are so cool

omg the first ehlers danlos post I’ve seen, this makes me happy!
