pukakke:

so, fusion is NOT sexual, we can confirm that through stevonnie, but it is an entirely intimate act of love and friendship chosen between two gems. intimate acts don’t mean they’re inherently sexual and they aren’t any less intimate because they aren’t sexual.

what we saw was literally DEAD GEMS being nonconsensually brought back to life and forced against their will to become one being.

garnet was not only seeing her fallen crystal gems reanimated as monsters, but the entire concept of fusion was defiled infront of her, hence why she felt the need to defuse. she probably felt dirty despite the fact that ruby and sapphire chose to become one being.

this truly is the most fucked up episode so far.

orlandofox:

I could only imagine these two (or at least Garnet) had to go back to their room to let more tears out.

(And I’m not gonna lie, this episode kinda made me feel numb. Kinda still left speechless right now… I can only imagine how tomorrow’s episode’s gonna go, since it’s also apparently on the concept of fusions!

musical-gopher:

Absolutely horrifying, these were crystal gems.

Just, think about how many gems would’ve have to have been shattered to create a project out of, of doing THIS. These used to be sentient, breathing, feeling, living organisms. But now they’ve been reduced to a mish-mosh of parts. This is like getting surgically attached to someone, unwillingly. What the Homeworld is doing is disgusting.
