Miss Fisher Random Thoughts (306)
Many countries, including the U.S., celebrate Father’s Day today on the third Sunday in June. Although the Australians observe Father’s Day on the first Sunday of September instead, I’d like to give our dear Mr. Butler a shoutout.
Thank you, Mr. B, for the fatherly advice you gave Dot that guided her through the bumps, cracks, and obstacles in life, romantically and otherwise. You were also a great role model for Kip, seeing his potential and training him to be a proper butler. You were always kind to everyone, except those questionable gentlemen, like The Great Hypno, Mr. Merton. Even the persnickety Aunt P showed you nothing but respect, which was a testament to your character.
We assume that Mrs. Butler didn’t produce an heir before her untimely passing, but you had gained some wonderful (If at times handful) daughters and sons since you started working for Miss Fisher. I am sure Mrs. Butler would have liked that very much.
Happy Father’s Day, Mr. B. We hope to see you in the movie, continuing to be the angel incarnate to Phryne, Dot, and everyone else, including all the Miss Fisher fans!
