I say “sorry” all the time even in situations where I don’t have anything to be sorry for, and I have friends and coworkers who are like “you don’t have to be sorry” and I think that they think I’ve been socialized to say “sorry” because I’m a girl, when in reality I say “sorry” because I thought it was hilarious how Wilt in Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends always said sorry, and I just got in the habit of imitating him.
