PSA – I love you all

Christian husbands CANNOT get so stuck on the “submissive wife” line in the Bible that they forget what is required of them. Wives and husbands are asked to be subordinate to one another in Ephesians 5. Husbands are asked to Love their wives with a sacrificial love, a love that dies to self, the way that Christ loves the Church. Christ’s love for the Church is a love that respects her, that puts her first, that was tortured and killed for her. You aren’t asked to have a love for your wife where you order her around, demean her, and take away her dignity. Because that isn’t how Christ loves.

Christ suffered and died in one of the most painful ways imaginable, all while being tormented and mocked, for his bride.

To anyone who needs to hear it: God loves you so much more than you know. He won’t turn you away should you decide to come to Him. He cares about the things that go on in your life and He always wants you to be honest with Him about them.
