In the beginning of my christian, i used to masturbate and watch some porn. It was hard to stop. I kept focusing on stopping the sin. The more i kept focusing ons topping the sin, the more I did it. Afterwards, i started to develop a close relationship with God. Instead of one hour devotions, I would talk to Him about anything, like a close friend throughout the day. I would think about Him all day and talk to Him all day. That made me fall in love with Him. Then the temptations lost its grip.

Sometimes Christians make you feel like God is just obligated to love you and He only tolerates you, and while God does absolutely hate sin, He doesn’t love you because He has to. He designed you. He likes you. He wanted you. He doesn’t just loves you in a “God loves the whole world so He has to love me too” sense. It’s personal to Him.

He only loves those who love Him. Would you love someone who continues to hate you

God does.

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God’s love is not dependent on us in any way. God is love.

We all need to stop over thinking God’s love, He loves us wholly, personally, and despite our faults. He doesn’t need a reason for this, do we always have a reason for loving what we love? He is who He says He is, we are who we are. He loves us anyways. Except it, love it, love Him. He is deserving of love, except that. Why are we so insistent on denying that love?

I Thessalonians‬ ‭1:9-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

I wanna be a good Christian friend for even my non believer friends like being there for them or giving them advice but part of me feels like when they have a problem and want to rely on someone I should have God handle it but I don’t know if I can be everyone’s Superman

Hi!

I understand. I think that it is best to seek God in everything that you do and God will guide you and even give you the words to say! You can speak to your non Christian friends what God wants them to know. You are a Child of God. God can speak to others through you!

Philippians 4:6
“6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Luke 12:11-12
“When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”

I also want to mention that I think that it’s great that you want to be an ambassador of God amongst your friends!

I hope that this helps you. God Bless you!

If I’m gay but Christian, does that mean that God hates me?

gods-little-punk:

God absolutely does not hate you. God doesn’t hate anyone. You could do everything in your power to conspire against Him, but that wouldn’t change how much He loves you. There’s not a single person who has ever or will ever exist that God wouldn’t love.
I’m not saying there’s nothing you need to change about yourself, or that there’s a balance between being gay and being a Christian (because I’m sorry, there is no balance, it’s one or the other, God doesn’t share His place in anyone’s heart with sin), but I’m saying God won’t stop loving you no matter what you do. He loves us so much that the sin that traps us breaks His heart. He hates sin because it separates us from Him, even if we don’t think it does. It’s not you He hates, He’s trying to save you from what He hates, from what’s threatening your faith and your soul. There is no good or okay sin, all sins hurt us, even if we like the sin we’ve fallen to.
