someone: so what do you think is the solution to homelessness?

me, socialist:

Let homeless people occupy peopleless homes, build houses for use rather than exchange, 3D print comfortable houses in a day, convert corporate skyscrapers into housing and commercial malls into publicly-accessible community centers with living commons and entertainment

When you say it to people and they break

“But the money? … we can’t just? But, Money? We can’t just… help… people? Can we? The Money. We can’t just help people? Like that? We can’t just? Money?”

There’s more to it than free real estate.

A massive portion of homeless people are mentally ill, and many of those illnesses aren’t being treated. Homeless people who have been on the streets and had their illnesses untreated for most of their lives aren’t going to adjust super well to suddenly having a place to live.

We need to build safety nets. We need social workers and mental health care professionals to help the homeless.

Every person deserves a roof and health care. Those two things need to go hand in hand.

Miss Fisher Random Thoughts (306)

Many countries, including the U.S., celebrate Father’s Day today on the third Sunday in June. Although the Australians observe Father’s Day on the first Sunday of September instead, I’d like to give our dear Mr. Butler a shoutout.

Thank you, Mr. B, for the fatherly advice you gave Dot that guided her through the bumps, cracks, and obstacles in life, romantically and otherwise. You were also a great role model for Kip, seeing his potential and training him to be a proper butler. You were always kind to everyone, except those questionable gentlemen, like The Great Hypno, Mr. Merton. Even the persnickety Aunt P showed you nothing but respect, which was a testament to your character.

We assume that Mrs. Butler didn’t produce an heir before her untimely passing, but you had gained some wonderful (If at times handful) daughters and sons since you started working for Miss Fisher. I am sure Mrs. Butler would have liked that very much.

Happy Father’s Day, Mr. B. We hope to see you in the movie, continuing to be the angel incarnate to Phryne, Dot, and everyone else, including all the Miss Fisher fans!

The Buttons companion mod for Fallout 4 is out and you can download it on Nexus mods – PC only
And surprise, he’s fully voiced! :O

@cameronaugust has been working tirelessly on this project for the last couple weeks. Please show him lots of love for being an amazing person, fast learner and stubborn, skillful human being altogether.
Our astounding voice actor is no other than @disgruntledlungfish – a lot of you might know him as Sellbot’s creator from back in those good ole RP days. He did more than a fantastic job of bringing Buttons alive!
Finally, a huge thanks to all our Patreon supporters who helped us set aside the time to work on this project! We appreciate the hell out of your help in reaching this goal and we hope you’ll keep enjoying the stuff we make.

Please read the description/notes on the mod’s Nexus page before installing.
Now go forth, have fun and don’t forget to upload some screenshots of your characters and Buttons having all kinds of adventures together!
