Vader Eloha and her guardians in a big happy poly family is really all that matters to me, tbh.
They go about their daily business but then each night they all snuggle up and Japhet reads stories and they eat cakes that Enoch makes (cause really, everyone else is helpless at cooking) and Dedan is all awk cause he’s hopless at feelings that aren’t boundless rage and Eloha is just content like this is the way it should be, and Hugo has four parents who love him very much

Freak had a theory that the use of “Over The Rainbow” implies that the Zones are a strange version of Oz (or an Oz-like world) and that means the guardians are an intentional parallel to Dorothy and her companions.
And I really, really, really liked the idea.
I’ll probably make these available as prints and I’ll add a link here when they’re in my shop.

But yeah, count on Pearl to always give me inspiration for some angst pics~ Sworn to the Sword was great, as per usual with SU, but I’m sad that Pearl’s getting a lot of shit from some people for her behavior again. 😦 Same with Rose, but to way less of an extent, since people are just automatically assuming she never actually told Pearl to stop getting herself killed for her sake.
The way Pearl & Steven argued & the way she burst out at him, calling him Rose…I feel like she might’ve been taken back to a time when she & Rose were having that same discussion. Like, before the war, I think. Rose might’ve just learned to accept that Pearl would always risk her life to protect her, no matter what she said, which would probably take us to that moment on the strawberry fields (<-clever, writers~) they had in the Rose’s Scabbard ep.
