I can’t speak for anyone else, but the reason I’m so sick of all the minion shit is because it’s just another example of corporations breaking things down into every concievable, marketable part they can and squeezing every ounce of profit out of it until there’s nothing left.

It’s the same thing they did with Shrek, Madagascar, Scooby Doo, The Land Before Time, or any other franchise kept alive well beyond its expiration date for the sake of making a buck. It’s a lazy, profit-based, unoriginal tactic that favors mass production over creativity.

And if the Minions movie actually does make money, you can bet there will be another even worse one.

someday, i will personally murder the execs who ordered the creation of the land before time direct-to-video sequels

well, Fuck you because I loved those movies, I loved the songs, and I believe they were good

In my defense I don’t think I ever watched that one

SU INFOGRAPHICS –  Fusion List | GEM FUSIONS | GEMSTONESGEMS | HUMANS

Part 4 of my reference list! Links to all reference graphics are in links above.

ALL Images in this set are taken from the Steven Universe Wiki, specifically the gemstone page. Thank you to all the people who made these assets! Pictures are divided into four sections: individual gems, fusion gems, corrupted or shard gems, and other. As more gems show up, I might update and alter as needed 🙂

This might be a good reference for you if you’re deciding to draw gems for your gemsonas or other fanart.

can I take a moment to shout out to disabled writers. to writers who

  • can’t spell
  • don’t have a natural grasp of grammar or punctuation
  • don’t have the energy to write every day, or even once a week
  • can’t finish projects
  • use language differently than NT people, in ways that can be unusual or difficult to understand
  • are told their stories aren’t worth telling or aren’t “correct” because they deal with their disability or are affected by disability
  • have brainfog that makes it difficult to keep a plot coherent
  • can’t remember the names of their characters
  • don’t have the time to devote to writing
  • can’t focus to write for hours at a time, or even sometimes for minutes at a time
  • have too much anxiety to start projects
  • hate their own writing
  • write stories that the public doesn’t care about and doesn’t want to hear
  • go long periods of time without writing anything

you don’t have to be a fanatic who’s in overdrive all the time for your writing to be worth it – that’s only one way to write. remember that your writing is unique and worth creating no matter what society-in-general says about it. your stories are worth telling. and if caring for yourself and staying happy and healthy means not writing, that is perfectly alright. don’t feel less devoted to your art or less worthy as a writer because of your disability! Treat yourself right and work how YOU work, not how other people say you should.

Your writing is wonderful and you are as much a writer as anyone else, no matter what anyone else says. Keep doing you and loving yourself

THE PROPER WAY TO APOLOGIZE

mirandaadria:

Don’t say, “I’m sorry this offended you”.
Instead say, “I’m sorry I was offensive.

Don’t say, “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
Instead say, “I didn’t mean to hurt you, but intent means nothing because the damage is already done.”

Don’t say, “It was just a joke.”
Instead sat, “Some things should not be joked about.”

Don’t say, “I wouldn’t try to hurt anyone like that.”
Instead say, “I realize I hurt people with my words, and I’m sorry.

Don’t say, “I‘ll remove the joke if it bothers you so much.” (if posted online)
Instead say, “Yes, I said this, and it was wrong, and now I know not to say things like this again.

Don’t say, “Well other people weren’t bothered by it.”
Instead say, “Well some people weren’t bothered by it, but others were, and their concerns are just as valid and worthy of consideration.

Stop accepting passive apologies that do not show the offensive party actively taking responsibility for their mistakes.
