I havenât seen this info floating around Tumblr, so Iâm putting it up here.
Starting June 30th, 2017, Tumblr users will no longer be able to log in to Tumblr using AT&T-affiliated email addresses! If thatâs you, go get a new email address! The Tumblr Help Center had a list of domains that will no longer work, and instructions on how to switch to a new email address.
This isnt blog related, but most of my followers are on here, and Iâm sure a fair chunk of yâall would like to know this
they want to make the internet like tv. with channels and paying to get to specific websites and things. net neutrality = not doing that
This impacts every internet user. Please signal boost the hell out of this and sign the petition if you are American
I do not reblog things like this very often, but this affects me both personally and my business as a freelance artist.
In the economy here; cash is already strapped as it is. You bet your ass companies would suck the ever living life out of misc. art sites.
I donât want it to ever come down to me choosing between groceries or purchasing a new tier package via comcast to be able to access tumblr or DeviantArt (let alone not guaranteeing Iâll even be seen by my customer base since they may not want to pay out their asses either). It doesnât seem important to most, but I do 90% of my business online entirely.
Please sign up, fight for this and share it with your followers/friends/family and urge them to give them hell as well.
Not writing related, but this is incredibly important. While we pay for service via ISPs, the internet has been a relatively free space where everyone, no matter their income level, is able to connect, access a wealth of information, and express themselves. The Internet has become a major part of our culture as human beings and the notion that ISPs might be able to limit what sites I can access unless I pay them more is utterly sickening. A lot of us are cash strapped as is, and Iâd rather not be limited even more by someone elseâs greed. Net Neutrality is essential and I hope you guys will understand why it needs to remain.

P.S. Signal boost this if youâre able.

As I understand this ruling, it means that businesses now have to pay extra to ISPs to have access to their websites through that ISP provided at a reasonable speed. If you donât pay, usersâ access to your website will be slowed to a crawl – so independent people and small businesses can forget about getting onto that high speed access tier.Â
This means that the American internet is going to be firmly under the control of those who have the most money. Youâll only get to see the content of those who can pay the ISPs to provide access at a reasonable speed. This means that you can expect to see skewed representation of just about everything, with those bigger businesses who can afford to pay ISPs a premium for access deciding what you can and cannot read, view and consume on the internet.
This is not something that we have in the UK. Our ISPs compete with each other to provide higher speeds, better services and lower prices, but because thereâs a monopoly in the US of a few ISPs who provide services, they can afford to do this to you. You canât go anywhere else, after all.
Everyone in the US needs to sign that petition, call their representatives, write angry letters and do whatever you can to tell your government that this ruling is Not Okay.
Maybe you guys are sick of this post but Itâs really important to freelance artists and pretty much everyone who uses the internet, so here it is again. Â o0o/
Iâm fascinated by the fact that Phineas and Ferb is a show that actually exists

I can understand how someone could have come up with the idea of an animated show about stepbrothers trying to find cool ways to spend their summer vacation
And from there I can see how the characters of Candace, Isabella, Beauford, Baljeet, Jeremy, and Stacy came about
But at what godforsaken point in the thought process did someone go, âHey, what if thereâs an ongoing subplot about their pet whoâs a secret agent trying to stop a German guy from channeling his anger towards his abusive parents into conquering the tri-state area?â

OKAY SO! @biazerod asked me a little help on storyboarding and i decided to make this tutorialâŚiâm not a professionist. so donât take these as golden rulesâŚjust advices!  and as always sorry for the englishÂ
FIRST THING FIRST! the storyboard part is the most important phase in a comic page ! you can spend an entire day storyboarding! because itâs the structure, the essence of the page! hereâs some tips : 1- a page can start from 1 panel/frame (called splash page!) until how many f*cking panels you can fit ! (some pages , especially in french comics/bd  can reach 24 panels/frames!) Exaple of splash pages:Â
(these are from the green lantern,DC and the newest Thor ,marvel ) Splash pages are a priority of American comics, you rarely can find them in french Bd ! they represent a scene of impact! a fight! a revelation! be careful! use it only one if two times on a range of 50 pages! cuz it cut the narration! instead in french bd  you find this :
first one is from Blacksad 2# and second one is from Atar Gull see how high the number of the frames is??Â
the number of frames is very important in a page because it decide the narration time! đ also it all depends on the kind of ââdirectionââ you want to use on your comic! so be really careful when you decide the number of the frame! LETâS PASS ON THE CREATION!Â
1- when you have a page that contains more than 3 Frames ALWAYS. ALWAYS HAVE AN ESTABLISHING SHOT!Â
the establishing shot is fundamental! BECAUSE READERS CAN UNDERSTAND WHERE THE CHARACTERS ARE!Â
DONâT DO A COMIC PAGE FULL OF FACES !Â
DONâT DO THIS! LET THE CHARACTER BREATH! LET THE READER BREATH! PLAY WITH YOUR CAMERA! YOU HAVE THE POWER! in a comic page, is important to put the camera far away from the character most of the time! play with the different shots! Â
(found this on google) WATCH MOVIES AND TV SHOWS. lot of them can help you so much you have no idea!  a comic artist and a director do the same job when creating a story
2- Candy eye this is a tricky trick that can help you with the audience! when a character is saying something important or you have to introduce them , USE THE CANDY EYE DUDE.Â
the candy eye is , basically, a bust shot where you show the character, their features , usually with a cool or a funny expression ( or of course it depends from the situation) and believe me WORKS 10/10 with the audience đÂ
3- HIGHLIGHTS THE IMPORTANT SCENE IN THE PAGE!Â
FINAL TIPS: – when youâre doing dinamic poses try and try again! the first one isnât always the best! -USE REFERENCES. –A STORYBOARD PAGE CAN REQUIRE EVEN 4 HRS IF NOT AN ENTIRE DAY IF NOT AN ENTIRE WEEK. REMEMBER THAT THE STORYBOARD IS THE ESSENCE. AND THE REST IS DECORATION. – IMAGINE THE SEQUENCE! NOT THE SINGLE PAGES. THINK IN SEQUENCES! imagine what would happen after the page you are creating! connect the various pages NOT THE SINGLES FRAMES ! YOUâRE CREATING A STORY! NOT A SINGLE ILLUSTRATION! -AGAIN DONâT DO PAGE OF FACES. most important thing:Â
if the page youâre creating it stresses you! STOP. continue it when you are in a better mood ,dude. our job requires lot of time and effort, but it should be the job we love. so donât stress yourself and keep calm.
hope this is useful. donât take this as golden rules, this is just the way i work đ
me: *sees a ship i hate*
me: *calmly scrolls past bc i’m not a fucking gremlin like some of you*
