You don’t have to be grateful that it isn’t worse.
read that.
read it again, and again, and again.
somebody, somewhere, always has it worse than you. there is one person on this planet that has it the worst of all, and that person is NOT the only person allowed to be unhappy with their lot.
if things are bad for you, they are bad for you. period.
This goes for trauma as well. A lot of times survivors get trapped in a cycle of minimizing/diminishing their trauma because “other people have it worse” – but there is no hierarchy of trauma. There is no ranking system for which traumas are “better” or “worse.” Your trauma is valid. Period.
Chantal: Your body is like a canvas. The marks on your skin add color to your beauty. Don’t hide them!
Patsy: Go with the flow~ Respect yourself! Nurture the mind and the soul, and realize all things created have worth~!
Melody: Realize there’s nothing wrong with liking yourself. You’re not full of yourself, you’re not conceited, nor are you a narcissist! You shouldn’t feel guilty for loving yourself!
Catalina: Stretch marks are gorgeous, and everyone has body rolls. There’s nothing wrong with being fat. The word ‘fat’ is not an insult!
animated examples I’ve made for a homework, we were free to choose any topic we are interested in and I chose to talk about the basic principles of animation in the simplest way that i know
the pictures from the clothing livestream! unfortunately I drew them all while talking, but hopefully i’ll be able to record them in the future
The main point of the entire lecture however was when approaching any kind of clothing or pattern its important to break it down. Before starting on the final picture do several roughs where you draw out the design (even if it looks ugly). That way you understand the composition and can either reduplicate it OR change it up to fit your needs!
lace, jewelry, prints, and fancy designs are in fact comprised of a bunch of very simple replicated images. what seems impossible is in fact just crescents, hearts, and tiny circles! or a series of diamonds with smaller diamonds and circles inside (diamondception). Same with complicated fashion; identify the large shapes and the angle of the body then WHALA! of course it ends up looking better after a few tries haha
and of course that less can be more, especially with thinks like wrinkles and folds, and if you’re scared to draw clothes over your figure get over it. You’ll draw a million better figures! dont hold yourself back
