*sigh* I feel like the entire fandom just needs to sit down and have an honest, open discussion about this (referring to the article you posted earlier about Zamii). Because it seems absolutely ridiculous and like it’s hurting a lot of different people for no real reason. Also, people need to realize that there are gray areas within issues and humanity, but that’s a topic for another day I think. I don’t know, what do y’all think?
I’ve sort of made my own statement on the entire ordeal and how I feel about it the discussions surrounding it, but largely Ian’s latest tweets regarding this situation is a fair summation of my opinions.
Bullying is not equal to criticism being the overall takeaway for me here.
Additionally, I do hope fans can work to differentiate their feelings towards this matter from the show itself, as the show I strongly feel has continually worked to express a positive message of acceptance, inclusion, and looking beyond differences in others, which is what a lot of this argument from my perspective seems to be about.
